Selfworld is the first digital and virtual device, which has an integrated discussion forum and enables live video transmissions.
It has 64 rooms, 64 presentations slots designed to broadcast artistic projects and creations. It is used by musicians, compositors, dancers, choreographs, video experts, directors, companies and other structures.

Selfworld is a tool as well as a mean of broadcasting and communication. Its goal is to bring a new kind of visibility to the contemporary art on the Internet.
Selfworld is also a meeting point where visitors and real attendants of events come together at a given time and place. It is possible to personalize the page, announce future events, broadcast repetitions, add videos and archive their recordings. Visitors are invited to participate at the events with other internet users; it is possible to imagine that even the creators would participate.
For visitors and users of the rooms, Selfworld has an efficient and simple tool permitting live audiovisual broadcasting on the internet using webcam, computer and ADSL connection.
Specifically, Selfworld is a broadcasting platform of exchange and discovery in the field of contemporary creation between authors and public.

Technical requirements

Visitors and producers need to have an updated web browser (Firefox: Windows, Linux, Safari: MacOSX) and Flash Plug-in. To use the “videoconference system” in the rooms or broadcast the event it is necessary to have a webcam, microphone, video card capable of processing video and a camera.  
Basic ADSL connection is sufficient.
To broadcast good quality video in the room it is necessary to have an Internet connection with an upload speed of at least 384kbps.
